Leahnora Castillo

Dancer, Teacher, and Mentor

Leahnora Castillo is a dancer and instructor who, while in high school, was a member of a club for those impacted by incarceration at Venice High School. She has long been an advocate for children of the incarcerated, having grown up with a father and several friends who are or have been incarcerated. Leahnora’s poems and stories appear in several of the books created by the nonprofit that founded the club at her high school, and she dances, teaches dance and mentors youth across Southern California.
