Chief Development Officer, A Place Called Home (APCH)

Katie Lee Alheim is the Chief Development Officer at A Place Called Home (APCH), a multi-service youth development nonprofit in South Central Los Angeles. In this capacity, Katie oversees fundraising, communications, special events and volunteerism, while also helping to lead agency strategy and vision, growth trajectory and operational policy as part of an all-woman C-suite. Prior to joining APCH in 2019, she worked in higher education including the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and the University of Southern California, raising funds for both of their capital campaigns, research and student initiatives. Katie has an MPA from the USC Price School of Public Policy, and a BA from Indiana University, Bloomington. Katie believes passionately in the power of the nonprofit sector to change lives and make the world a better place. She enjoys archery, trying new restaurants and traveling with her husband, Brett, and reading on the couch with their two cats, Enzo and Yadi.
